How to upgrade Iphone

The iPhone touchscreen smartphone device first appeared on the market in 2007. This phone handles software upgrades a bit differently than most smartphones. Instead of sending out software updates over the air, Apple instead requires iPhone users to download and install the latest firmware through iTunes. If you'd like to update your iPhone's firmware, you can do so in a few steps.

Instructions

Start iTunes by clicking "Start," then "All Programs" and selecting "iTunes" from the list of available applications.
Connect your iPhone to your computer using its USB cable. After a few seconds, iTunes will recognize your iPhone.

Click on your iPhone under "Devices" on the left-hand side of the screen, then click the "Check for Update" button in the center of the screen. If there is a software update, iTunes will download it.

Click "OK" when iTunes asks if you want to update your iPhone with the latest firmware version.
